Budget cuts have hit the small town where the venerable Schloss von Luckner is situated, and our schools are getting particularly heavily hit. At my daughter's elementary school, Wednesday has become permanently a half day, and at the high school, the art teacher is going out to the community to ask for help in buying the simple necessities of brushes and supplies for her class. We here at FtG aim to help her out, because maybe if more art supplies had found their way into my hands earlier on, we could have all been saved the visual feast that is this.
