Through the good offices of a teenage version of Kate Warne, America’s first female detective, our group has finally managed to get Poe’s knowledge of George III’s Weapon. But knowing where something is is one thing, and getting there is something completely different. Fortunately, Frederick seems to be pretty on top of the unique gifts of his team… and speaking of the team, what has become of Peter all this time? A secret enemy returns! A monarch’s career-ending gaffe! It’s Episode 136: Powers, and it has something to say!

I know, a NES video game reference… in a WEBCOMIC! Never let it be said that FtG doesn’t boldly tread new ground in its chosen medium. Still though, considering how the first three years of our friendship consisted of playing NES, SNES and PS1 titles over weekends while drinking Coke and eating oatmeal sandwiches, I’m surprised Geoff and I haven’t done this more often.

Somehow, Frederick and Abe managed to botch perhaps the easiest interrogation in the history of man. So, it’s on to either an endless search for an Unknown Weapon or a frank admission of defeat… or perhaps a third option so unexpected as to baffle and confound the senses? It’s sleuthery and dealsmanship of the highest order, all to crack the secret of a Poe, and all in Episode 135: What the Heart Hides, Badly.
