Yessir! Sullivan conducted some of his finest and won the day.

For coloring cellists, I found that listening to my CD of Zoe Keating was best.

Ep 236 Dolby

Drawing the Royal Conquering Orchestra is pretty much pure joy, namely because it represents the chance to choose once and for all the historically wicked-awesomest string section ever. For the record, here are the dudes visible. For the violins, I've linked to recordings of the third movement of the Sibelius violin concerto when possible for runaway comparative glee (suggestion: go from Perlman to Neveu)!

Then, I'll be talking about the not-pictured wind, brass, and percussion section over at Facebook a bit later, so drop by!

Violins:
First Row:
First Chair: Anne-Sophie Mutter
Itzhak Perlman, Niccolo Paganini, Jascha Heifetz
Second Row: (from left)
David Oistrakh, Igor Oistrakh, Eugene Ysaye, Joseph Joachim, Ginette Neveu

Third Row:
Hilary Hahn (wanted to have her next to Perlman, but that would have put her head behind Sullivan's arm, soooo...)

Violas:
Are Not Pictured!

Celli:
First Row:
First Chair: Mstislav Rostropovich
Yo-Yo Ma

Second Row: Jacqueline Du Pre, Random Mustachioed Man

Double Bass:
Serge Koussevitsky
