Episode 152: Situation Normal (All Funked Up)

Ep 152 Dolby

Lincoln's views changed considerably over the course of the war as to what the ultimate solution to the problem of slavery was to be. That it was an evil was never a doubt to his mind, but HOW it was to be tackled was, even into the war years, an open question to some degree. When he finally made up his mind to issue the Emancipation Proclamation, it was in the face of a barrage of doom-saying epistles that assured him that the army would disintegrate once it was felt they were fighting for the rights of slaves rather than the preservation of the Union.

As it turned out, there was some desertion, but not enough to keep the Northern War Machine from plodding onwards. And thus was the nation united behind the dual prospects of all men's equal right to be both Down AND Funky.

- Count Dolby von Luckner

Ep 152 Geoff

A bit of a mid-week party broke out last night and I was too busy drumming in Rock Band and drinking liquids to color anything.

The Count plays a mean plastic bass.
