Napoleon has conquered Mexico at the head of the army he stole from the United States, thereby wiping out Frederick Douglass’s noble plan to use the California territories as a free land for former slaves. Between Frederick’s seeming unawareness of there actually being a problem and Napoleon’s basic giddiness over newly acquired territory, how is this all going to get fixed for the good? Or have our boys finally embraced the dark side? A look at Episode 103: Leipzig Pinata, and all will be resolved!

When I was coloring the banners, I was convinced that The Count had drawn something that looked like a bee to me, and was equally convinced that the symbol couldn’t possibly be a bee.
Well, the number of things I have learned from working on this comic has expanded by one.
Apparently, the bee was an important symbol of Napoleon.
Funny old world, isn’t it?

Running a continent is pretty much old hat for our friend Napoleon. In 1806, from whence our Napoleon has been ripped, he was pretty much controlling everything worth controlling in Europe, slapping down handily anybody who happened to stop bumping blindly into walls long enough to form an alliance against him.
In other news, damn was the video to Black Hole Sun cool.

Frederick’s team has chased Frederick Douglass across centuries and continents, and, in typical Frederickian fashion, never really asked itself why it was doing so. But Today they must come to terms with the magnitude of what they have done, or at least have the magnitude of what they have done revealed to them, only to have it roll off their collective monarchical backs mere moments later. You know, whichever. Time to pay the piper in Episode 102: Making Flippy Floppy!
