Stepping onto a 19th century British vessel involves more than placing a foot on a ship, but also placing one’s ears at the mercy of 19th century British vessel seamen, but just maybe there’s a golden nugget of truth to be found in all of it. That, AND gravitation, in episode 228: Surrendering to Gravity, and The Unknown!

I feel like this is the fourth title I’ve lifted from an A Perfect Circle lyric, but that’s probably not true…
In any case, for those who missed it the last time, I’ve added some lovely Victorian book reviews to our Good Reads page. I know the world has been waiting, fingers dug into palms, to hear my personal opinion of Bolton’s 1891 Famous English Statesmen. Well, the wait is over…

Science has determined the most efficient way to depict the gather of multiple musicians in a hurry is a montage set to a snappy Gilbert and Sullivan pastiche. Verify these findings in Episode 227: I’ve Got a Little Liszt!

I am back from a trip to Philadelphia. The function of which seemed to be gorging endlessly on the foodstuffs on my ancestors.
There are not many days that offer up the chance to have a pork roll sandwich with a side of scrapple for breakfast, so one must cherish them when they arrive. (While also being grateful that, for the sake of my functioning heart, such days are few and far between.)
I also enjoyed hoagies, soft pretzels, Tastykakes, crabcakes, cheesesteaks, and cheesesteak stromboli.
