The count has taken firm rein of the scripting duties again, allowing me to rest my weary brain for a spell and figure out what, if anything, I’ll get to blow up the next time I’m writing the comic. This is a harder task than normal since I’ve recently exploded aliens, a robot, and an Elder God.
So, Isaac Newton has been popping up in other webcomics recently. Not surprising, because Newton is comedy gold. Anyway, he made a star turn in a recent XKCD, precipitated a pun in Irregular Webcomic, and made an appearance in Hark! A Vagrant.

I strongly doubt that Craterus ever had the balls to stand up this much to Alexander, and offer as evidence that Craterus in fact survived Alexander, a fate which most critics of the Indian Expedition didn’t share.
To balance that assertion with something pro-Alexander, though, I’ll say that I’m 60% sure that most of his insistence on being treated as a god was the result of political expedience. After the Persian Bessus attempted to claim the crown that Alexander had taken from Darius, I think Alexander figured out pretty quick that the only way to stop everybody and their uncle from rising up the second his back was turned was by putting in a strong bid for divinity. For Alexander, what was Useful was more important than what he actually Believed, and so…
