I just got an awesome note from one of the Frederick Faithful describing the work that they are doing right now on the oldest surviving piece of written music. It’s entirely fascinating, so if you’ve even a passing interest in the history of music, or just like seeing really really hard puzzles slowly worked to solution, or are just curious to hear some good guesses as to what music they were playing 2200 years ago, hop on over here!
