Rumford actually did establish and run for a number of years a museum devoted primarily to himself, though that was more out of necessity than design. It was to be a rotating display of industrial science, but as most scientists wanted to keep their inventions tightly under wraps for reasons of profit, the space ended up getting filled mainly with Rumford’s many innovations, including his way awesome chimney apparatus!
In conclusion, buy my new book!

It’s true! My first book, featuring 58 essays about everything from Richard Wagner to the popcorn function to humanist mourning to larping to Thor to romance novels to soft core erotica, is now available on Amazon! Be the first in, well, your state, to own your very own copy and instantly start enjoying the increase in social status that comes with it! But I need your help to get the word out – every tweet, every casual Facebook mention, means a world. And if, after you read it, you care to leave a review on Amazon, golly, that would sure be snazzy!
