Peter made a solemn promise to Frederick Douglass to protect the people of Mexico from the ravages of Napoleon’s old Galactic Army, now ruling with an iron fist over the California and Nevada territories. In a flash of (entirely pilfered) genius, he has decided to infiltrate the enemy camp and destroy it from the inside, but will he manage to blend in with the other rapscallions, or end up shot dead before he walks through the door. It’s Peter’s greatest test yet, and it’s in Episode 131: You’ll Like Him, He’s a Scoundrel Too!!

I don’t know how honorable and loyal the real Peter the Great was, but at least this Peter has those qualities to balance out his more murderous tendencies.

Nathan Bedford Forrest pretty much hit for the cycle in terms of appalling life activities. Before the war, he made millions as a slave trader. During the war, he became infamous as the man who allowed unarmed African American soldiers to be slaughtered by his men at Fort Pillow. Then after the war he had the dubious distinction of being the first Grand Wizard of the KKK. So, if anybody would consciously choose to lead the despoiling of a territory for personal profit, he’d probably be the guy and, given that he also happened to be one of the most original tactical thinkers of the Civil War, he’d probably do it pretty thoroughly, too.
For Peter’s part, he DID enjoy a good mock dwarf wedding, but as far as I know never went so far as to have men marry livestock.
– Count Dolby von Luckner

Newton has managed to talk/bribe his way back into Frederick’s trust, and so returns with him to Voltaire’s, still possessing the Factotum What Drove Douglass Veruckt. But will there be anything left of Abraham Lincoln to return to? Will the power of the Factotum corrupt Newton, or he it? How does phlogiston enter into any of this? There’s a universe of questions in the… universe… and luckily for you THREE of them can be answered with just one click to Episode 130: Lightning In a Bottle!
