There are a lot of things that happen in this comic that aren’t necessarily a part of the bigger picture. The concept of the Cane Buddy. Meeting Debs in prison. Things that just sort of happen along the way. This isn’t one of those things.

Yes, one of the major seeds for this little comic has finally flowered.
Four years ago, we were amusing ourselves by re-creating famous people in a Wrestlemania game for the Gamecube. I created an appropriately Ken Burns-esque intro for Abe full of rolling smoke and quiet dignity.
Soon after that, using Abe as a template, another wrestler was created. Another wrestler much funkier than Abe and less full of quiet dignity: Funky Flaverham Lincoln!
So, after we decided to include Abe in the comic, it was really just a matter of time before Flave showed up.
