If you’re going to have a warm moment of mutual holiday sacrifice, I suppose, you need to first make sure that everybody is on the same page.
But at least Peter is finally getting to finish what he started when we first met him.
If you head on over to our Good Reads section, you’ll find a bit of a writeup on John Richardson’s soul-draining but informative Picasso biography – at least the second volume thereof which is most immediately relevant for the time our storyline will cover – granted volume III starts closer to the actual time of the story, but since World War I hasn’t happened in our timeline, volume II is probably your best bet, as long as you have a relatively high tolerance for douchery.
Well, this is our last episode before Christmas – though if you hop on over to The Vocate on Saturday, you’ll find a special Christmas comic there, doing its game pagan best to entertain and perplex. We hope you have a fine time with family and friends, and we’ll see you right back here on Tuesday for more Holiday Tomfoolery!

I’ve just finished reading Kirsten Alene’s Love in the Time of Dinosaurs, and would like to recommend it to the rest of the world. In its brief seventy seven pages, it manages to construct a universe which is deeply contradictory and yet at the same time makes perfect sense, about a battle between monk warriors who are kept alive by successively improbable limb transplants, and weapon toting dinosaurs. It’s highly neat – pick up a copy!
And now, for your viewing pleasure, Ataturk playing soccer:
