Episode 769: Bankrupt Conduct

Always nice to be drawing Empress Theodora again.  And hey, we just looked at the stats for the first time in a year or so and noticed that 2015 looks like it’s going to be far and away the best year yet for Frederick.  For a webcomic that’s almost nine years old to be having its best year ever is really quite something, and we appreciate it so, so much!  – Count DvL

Brunel!  Finally the excuse I’ve been seeking for 9 years to draw tophats the size of the humans who wear them!  AND a guest appearance from Prophecy Failed‘s own Sara McCardle-Blunk?  Too much excitement for one Thursday to contain!

How many untold hours did I slave over sculpting Peter’s abs with only the finest of .03 mm pens, only to have them prudishly covered by Geoff’s rampant Victorian word-bubbling sensibilities… a crime… a crime… – Count DvL

So, the last few episodes I’ve been using a new set of pens for inking.  They intimidated me at first but I think I’m finally getting the hang of them as a mechanism for bringing out the scorn of Newton’s stuffed parrot.  Anyway, hope you’re enjoying the difference!  And hey, speaking of difference, why not pop on over to yesterday’s Women in Science to read about Botanist revolutionary Agnes Arber?  More comics for better living!
