“But wasn’t the first coin to bear the term ‘peso’ not minted in Mexico until 1863, prior to which the ‘Piece of Eight’ was the equivalent currency?”
Perhaps, but remember that Frederick’s defeat of Loyola and Catherine of Aragon doubtlessly had repercussions for Spanish stability, inevitably leading to Mexican independence before the “normal” date of 1821, thereby pushing the date for the official coinage of the peso back to the 1840s. Frederick and company are holding for dear life onto the rocket train as it hurtles towards its grand jump to Mexico. Ah well, at least they don’t have to worry about the Thoremerson whom Peter so readily dispatched in episode 95…. or DO they?? In this episode, one beloved character will fall and one train will rise. Engineering and tragedy mix together, as they always do, in this here Episode 96: To Utopia and Beyond!
– Geoff and The Count
Historically, Peter died an incredibly painful death after a long stretch of on-again, off-again health. Had he delegated any work, he might have bought himself more time, but experience had taught him that only by handling everything himself would anything get done, and so he continued working and fretting and prodding himself into the grave until finally he died of GANGRENE of the BLADDER. Read that again… GANGRENE in his BLADDER.
Unpleasant.
Now, to take your mind off gangrenous bladders, go look at a barber shop performing the Ewok Yub Nub song.
