Back from the future, and having appeased Peter the Great by allowing him to name a floating puppy, Frederick has apparently messed up an entire era unknowingly. How is the potential blowing up of Ireland the fault of a Frederick? How do monarchs remember their fallen? How is it that you are not, at this very moment, glued to Episode 207: SWINE AND PUNISHMENT?!

I’ve said before that befriending Frederick was just about as good a way as any to get yourself prematurely deaded. He did, though, always keep his lost friends dearly in his heart, contrary to the above. He provided decent pensions for the families of the deceased, and looked back on his days with them as the happiest of his life. So, if he actually had a Mumblemutton, chances are he’d remember.
This was not the general rule for monarchs. In the depths of the American War of Independence, George III suddenly fired a small batch of his attendants, not because THEY were Whigs, but because they had Whig FRIENDS.
Anyway, if you’re a little hazy on the big Sixteenth Century arc, HERE is a good place to begin to refresh your memory!

Peter has checked a decisive NO on Frederick’s Do You Like Me? note, and Voltaire is hardly any more pleased. So, Frederick must take unprecedented steps to set things aright while Voltaire combs through history to see what has gone awry during the Chronicle’s absence. It’s adorable, fuzzable, historicical goodness for all in Episode 206: Been Through the Future With a Dog With No Name!

First of all, after a three month hiatus, Thinking Ape Blues is back!
Secondly, for those of you who don’t see the tragedy writ large in those vacant puppy eyes, this will make it a bit clearer.
Also, just got back from the first production of Orpheus in the Underworld put on by the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. It runs again Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and is worth a look for anybody who likes their operettas and fly-human duets good and bawdy. Just good fun put on by a bunch of incredibly talented music students. Check it out!
