As I recall, there was an ultimate bad guy in this comic, name of Ethan Allen. Destroyed Voltaire’s house. Escaped to the far future. Nearly destroyed the Chronicle of Time. I wonder what HE’S up to these days?

It turns out that redundancy can only go so far when a webcomic creating team independently schedules their vacations to create a thorny maze of logistics.
At any rate, enjoy this little one-off about Allen. And wonder, as I do, what exactly will run on Thursday. I’m sure I can come up with something, even if you all have to gaze upon the horrible scratching that I refer to as “drawing.”

This episode, Peter takes the stage to boldly lead his orchestra into musical combat with Hans von Bulow and the Berlin Philharmonic. Frederick has been safely defused with an ultra-high-pitch whistle. Anne-Sophie Mutter is totally gorgeous. Everything is set. Victory… is… certain… just in case, though, you might want to check out Episode 232: Peter and the Wolf!

Yes, Frederick is playing the whistle, not Peter, but dogs are pack animals, and as such realize the importance of neutralizing the alpha member of a group before turning on other targets, and they don’t come much more alpha than conductors. This is why Peter, not Frederick, has to deal with a case of shoulder basset.
