In other news, Subnormality has a really cool bit of alternate history up right now which I have been enjoying immensely. In one of the panels there’s a paper hanging on the wall with the headline “Dewey Defeats Mothra” which has made me laugh to myself on recalling it at least five times today.
On the naming Adding Impressive Sounding Things To Your Name front, technically it was other people who added “the Great” to Frederick (and Peter’s) name. Frederick first heard it in 1746 when returning to Berlin from the Silesian Wars. A few miles outside the city, a small detachment of citizens on horses greeted Frederick with an organized cry of “Vivat Friedrich der Grosse!” And so was Frederick THE GREAT born.

The last time we saw old Thresher, he was being carried around in what was effectively a C-3P0 wookie pack. It’s good to work for the power behind a probabilistic dimension, apparently.
